Assembly Of Leaf Springs
Assembly of leaf springs
Leaf spring: composed of multiple pieces of steel plates of varying lengths and curvatures. After installation, the two ends naturally bend upward. When the impact of the road on the wheel comes, the steel plate deforms, plays the role of buffering and damping, and has the role of guiding force transmission when the longitudinal arrangement is arranged. Most of the non-independent suspension uses the leaf spring as the elastic element, which can save the guide device and the shock absorber, and the structure is simple.
Installation procedure
Determine the installation position: According to the design requirements of the vehicle or equipment, determine the installation position of the plate spring. This usually involves taking the necessary measurements and marking of the vehicle or equipment.
Mounting bracket: The bracket is installed on the vehicle or equipment in the predetermined position. Make sure the bracket is securely installed and matches the structure of the vehicle or equipment.
Place the spring: Place the spring on the support, making sure that the blade of the spring matches the notch of the support. Note that the seam between the spring plate should be greater than 1.2mm to ensure the elasticity of the spring.
Install bolts and spacers: Use appropriate bolts and spacers to secure the spring to the bracket. Before tightening the bolt, make sure that the spring group is compressed inside and the pieces fit tightly. Then tighten the bolts according to the specified tightening torque (such as 40 to 60N/m).
Adjustment and testing: After installation, make the necessary adjustments to ensure the best performance of the spring. This may include adjusting parameters such as the preload force and height of the spring. Finally, tests are carried out to ensure that the plate spring can work smoothly and withstand the predetermined load.
Matters needing attention
Installation direction: Ensure that the spring is installed in the correct direction to avoid excessive stress or damage to the spring during installation.
Use special tools: When disassembling and installing the spring, special tools should be used to avoid using iron to directly hit the side and surface of the spring to prevent damage to the spring.
Check for rust: Before installation, ensure that all parts of the spring have been cleaned of rust and coated with appropriate grease to reduce friction and wear.
Correct tightening torque: When tightening bolts, the operation should be carried out according to the specified tightening torque to ensure that the plate spring is fixed firmly and the performance is stable.
