High quality chrome steel Gcr15
High carbon chromium steel (GCr15)
Composition: About 1.0% carbon, 1.5% chromium, manganese, silicon and other alloying elements.
Features: High hardness (HRC 58-62), strong wear resistance, suitable for most industrial scenarios.
Heat treatment: need to undergo quenching + low temperature tempering to ensure core toughness and surface hardness.
Stainless steel (e.g. 440C/AISI 420)
Composition: Carbon 0.95-1.2%, chromium 16-18% (rust prevention key).
Features: Strong corrosion resistance, suitable for food, chemical or Marine environments, but the cost is high.
Other options:
Ceramic ball (Si3N4) : Extreme high speed or high temperature environment, but expensive.
Special coatings: such as DLC (diamond-like carbon) coatings to reduce friction.
Fine process flow
1. Forging and machining
Forging blank: Using cold heading or hot forging to ensure continuous metal flow line (improve fatigue life).
Precision turning: CNC lathe machining shaft ring/seat ring, dimensional tolerance control within ±0.01mm.
2. Heat treatment
Quenching: Heating to about 850 ° C (GCr15), oil quenching transforms the tissue into martensite.
Tempering: 160-200℃ low temperature tempering, eliminate stress and stabilize the size.
Additional processing:
Cryogenic treatment (below -70 ° C) : improve dimensional stability and reduce residual austenite.
Ion nitriding: surface hardening to HV 1000 or more, extended life.
3. Grinding and superfinishing
Rough grinding/fine grinding: Using CNC grinding machine to process raceway, surface roughness up to Ra 0.2μm.
Super finishing: Whetstone polishing raceway, further reduce roughness (Ra 0.05μm), reduce vibration noise.

Cage assembly: The robot automatically presses the steel ball to ensure even distribution.

Clearance (axial clearance is usually 0.03-0.08mm).
