Correct Installation Steps Of Trailer Filters: Even Premium Filters Fail Without Proper Operation
Installation Steps of Fuel Filter
1. Remove the old filter Use a special wrench to remove the old filter and adjust the tilt angle to reduce oil leakage. Thoroughly clean the residual sealing ring and impurities on the mounting base, and gently peel off the adhered sealing ring without forced pulling.
2. Check the new filter Verify that the model and specification of the new filter match the original one, and check the shell for no damage or deformation and the sealing ring for intactness.
3. Preprocess the new filter Core step: Evenly coat the sealing ring with engine oil or special sealing oil to enhance tightness, prevent damage and facilitate later disassembly. Fill the fuel filter with a small amount of clean fuel to exhaust air and avoid insufficient engine fuel supply.
4. Install the new filter Tighten the filter manually first, then fasten it to the standard torque with a wrench. Do not over-tighten to avoid damaging the filter and mounting threads.
5. Leakage inspection Turn on the fuel valve and start the engine to check for oil leakage at the interface. If leakage occurs, turn off the engine immediately, check the sealing ring for faults, and reinstall and fasten the filter.
Installation Steps of Air Filter
1. Remove and clean Open the buckle or screw-fixed air filter shell, take out the old filter, and clean the dust and impurities inside the shell. Blow the dirty shell with compressed air (do not wash with water).
2. Check the new filter Confirm the filter model is compatible, with intact filter material, no damage, stains or falling off.
3. Install the new filter Place the new filter accurately into the shell, ensure tight fitting without offset or looseness to prevent unfiltered air from entering the engine.
4. Seal and reset Close the shell, fasten the buckles or screws to ensure overall tight sealing.
General Notes
1. Different filters have different installation details. The hydraulic filter must be installed in the correct direction and must not be reversed.
2. Exhaust air from the system in time after installation to avoid air resistance affecting equipment operation.
3. If you have doubts about the operation, refer to the trailer manual or consult professionals, and do not install blindly.
