Correct Installation Steps For Trailer Filters - One Wrong Step Renders Even High-Quality Filters Useless

Fuel Filter Installation Steps
- Remove the old filter: Use a special wrench to unscrew the old filter, disassemble at an angle to avoid massive oil leakage; clean the old seal ring and impurities on the mounting seat, and gently peel off if the seal ring is stuck, do not pull hard.
- Check the new filter: Confirm the model matches, no damage or deformation on the surface, and the seal ring is intact (some need to install the seal ring by yourself).
- Pretreat the new filter: Apply a thin layer of engine oil/special sealant on the seal ring; fill the fuel filter with a small amount of clean fuel to exhaust air.
- Install the new filter: Align with the mounting seat, screw by hand first, then tighten to the specified torque with a wrench (do not over-tighten).
- Check for leakage: Open the fuel valve, start the engine, observe no leakage at the interface; if there is leakage, turn off the engine immediately to check and reinstall.
Air Filter Installation Steps
- Remove the old filter: Open the air filter housing (fixed by buckles/screws), take out the old filter, and clean the dust in the housing (can be blown clean with compressed air, do not wash with water).
- Check the new filter: Matching model, no damage or stains on the surface, and no filter material falling off.
- Install the new filter: Put it into the housing, ensure it fits tightly without looseness or deviation.
- Close the housing: Cover the housing, fasten the buckles or tighten the screws to ensure sealing.
Installation Notes
Installation details vary by filter type (e.g., hydraulic filters need to pay attention to direction); exhaust air in the system after installation; refer to the manual or contact professionals if unsure, do not operate blindly.
