1. Support and stability: After the trailer is separated from the tractor, the trailer landing gear can be quickly lowered and stably support the weight of the entire trailer, preventing the trailer from tipping or moving due to loss of traction.

2. Adjust height: Many modern trailer landing gear designs have the function of adjusting height, which can adjust the height of the landing gear according to different ground conditions and needs to ensure that the trailer can park smoothly.

3. Convenient operation: In order to facilitate the operation of the driver, the trailer landing gear is usually mechanical or hydraulic transmission, and the lifting of the landing gear can be achieved through simple operation.

Support legs: Usually made of high-strength steel, able to withstand the weight of the trailer. The number and layout of support legs varies depending on the type and size of the trailer.

Transmission mechanism: including gear, chain, hydraulic cylinder and other components, used to convert the driver's operation into the lifting movement of the support leg.

Control device: such as hand handle, electric switch, etc., used to control the transmission mechanism to achieve the lifting of the landing gear.

In principle, when the driver needs to lower the landing gear, the transmission mechanism is activated through the control device, so that the support leg extends downward and touches the ground. As the support legs gradually extend, the weight of the trailer is gradually transferred to the landing gear until it is completely out of the support of the tractor. When it is necessary to retract the landing gear, the transmission mechanism is reversed to shrink the support legs back into place.

Manual landing gear: Operated by hand tools such as handlebars, suitable for small or light trailers. Its structure is simple, the cost is low, but the operation is laborious.

Electric landing gear: It is operated by automatic equipment such as electric motor, which has the advantages of simple operation, labor-saving and fast. But it is relatively expensive and requires electricity.

Hydraulic landing gear: The hydraulic system is used for transmission and control, with smooth lifting, strong bearing capacity and other characteristics. Widely used in heavy trailers and medium trailers.

1. Regular inspection: Regularly check whether the parts of the landing gear are intact and whether the transmission mechanism is flexible and reliable. Find problems timely repair or replacement.

2. Correct operation: Operate the landing gear correctly according to the operating rules to avoid damage caused by excessive force or improper operation.

3. Keep clean: Regularly clean the impurities such as dust and dirt on the landing gear to ensure its normal work and extend its service life.
