How it works:

When one wheel encounters an obstacle, the balance beam rotates around the pin shaft, and the other wheel adjusts accordingly to disperse the impact force.

Pin bearings are subject to shear force, torsional force and alternating load, and need to have high fatigue resistance.

 

Daily maintenance:

Regular lubrication: High temperature grease (such as lithium grease) is added through the injection nozzle to reduce wear.

Check wear: Observe the bushing gap, if more than 2mm need to be replaced.

Fastening check: Ensure that the lock nut is not loose and the locking device is in good condition.

Common faults:

Abnormal sound/stuck: due to insufficient lubrication or bushing wear, it is necessary to re-lubricate or replace the parts after cleaning.

Pin fracture: caused by fatigue damage or overload, need to be replaced immediately.

Partial wear: caused by improper installation or axle deformation, the suspension geometry needs to be corrected.

 

Disassembly steps:

Lift the frame to unload, remove the lock nut and stop.

Use hydraulic tools to push out old pins and avoid violent knocks.

Clean the mounting holes and check for bushing wear.

Installation points:

Grease the new pin and ensure the bushing clearance (usually 0.1-0.3mm).

Tighten the nut according to the torque requirement (e.g. 200-300N·m) and lock the locking device.

After replacement, no load test is required to check whether the suspension movement is smooth.
